Travel by Luxe was founded in Rome in 2013 by Amy — a licensed guide who fell in love with Italy at 14, did a student exchange at 18, and moved permanently in 2013.

Once your trip is confirmed, your Journey Director takes ownership of every logistical detail on the ground. They coordinate, they anticipate, they adapt. Our fully orchestrated journeys start from €5,000 per person. Every experience is priced individually based on your dates, group size, destinations, and the level of access and accommodation you choose. Your Travel Designer will discuss this openly during your first conversation — no guesswork, no hidden costs.
We recommend booking 4–6 months in advance, especially for peak season travel (April–June and September–October). This ensures the best availability for private guides, exclusive villa accommodations, and restaurant reservations at top establishments. For large group trips or special occasions — weddings, milestone birthdays, honeymoons — 8–12 months ahead is ideal. That said, we can often accommodate bookings made 6–8 weeks out, so don't hesitate to reach out even if your trip is soon.
Every itinerary is fully bespoke, but our service typically covers: a dedicated Travel Designer, all ground transportation (private driver and transfers), expert local guides for each destination, restaurant reservations, skip-the-line access to museums and landmarks, accommodation booked and matched to your itinerary, your Journey Director on the ground throughout your trip, and a detailed day-by-day travel dossier. Every element is part of the same composition — nothing is an afterthought.

We cover all of Italy — from the iconic (Rome, Florence, Venice, the Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, Sicily) to the wonderfully off-the-beaten-path (Puglia, the Dolomites, Sardinia, Umbria, Lake Como, the Cinque Terre). We also design multi-country European journeys into France, Greece, Croatia, Spain & Portugal, and the UK & Ireland. Our team is based in Rome and has deep on-the-ground knowledge and local connections across the entire country.
With a group tour, you follow a fixed schedule and adapt to other people's preferences. With us, every detail is built around you. You set the pace. Your private driver and guide are exclusively dedicated to your party. You dine where you want, visit what moves you, and take the time you need. The entire experience is designed around how you actually like to travel — and it shows from the first day to the last.
Most of our clients are couples, families, or small groups of friends — typically 2 to 12 guests. We specialize in creating intimate, personal experiences where you're never lost in a crowd. For larger groups — multi-family trips, milestone celebrations, or incentive travel — we scale our services accordingly, coordinating multiple vehicles, guides, and exclusive venue bookings to ensure everyone feels just as well looked after.
We don't arrange international flights, but we handle everything on the ground. Our accommodation specialists research and book hotels, boutique guesthouses, agriturismi, or private villa rentals — carefully matched to your style, budget, and itinerary. If you've already made some bookings, we're happy to work around them and focus on designing the on-the-ground experience.
We understand that plans can change. Our standard policy allows for free itinerary adjustments up until 30 days before departure. Cancellation terms vary depending on the suppliers involved (hotels, guides, experiences) and how close to the travel date. We'll outline the specific terms clearly in your proposal before any commitment is required.
